Brisbane City Botanic Gardens

Brisbane Australia is a city full of great things to do and see, but when it comes time to relax and revive yourself, the City Botanic Gardens overlooking the Brisbane River in the heart of the city is the place to be.

Take some time out to enjoy the great walks, history and extensive display of plants and gardens, or just kick back in one of the garden's many shaded areas and reflect.

Located on the banks of the Brisbane River the City Botanic Gardens truly are an oasis in the middle of the city.

To fully appreciate these riverside gardens and their amazing display of plants, try self guided walks using the brochures and maps available from the Rotunda in the gardens or join in on one of the guided walks hosted by volunteers who will share their knowledge of and passion for the gardens with you. These walks will take you about an hour and are a great way to get a feel for the City Botanic Gardens and its history.

Getting to the gardens couldn't be easier. If you are staying outside the city, try taking a train to Central train station or Roma Street railway station. If you are staying in accommodation located along the Brisbane River, take a City Ferry or CityCat.

Thinking weddings, then think of Brisbane Australia and the City Botanic Gardens! Your wedding will be something to remember for you and your guests when it's set amongst these beautiful gardens boasting river frontage.
